Return Policy/Warranty

All Fin Designs products are custom made. Therefore, we shall accept returns only if there is a manufacturing error. In order to receive a refund, please inspect your product within 3 days of the time of delivery for manufacturing defects. After this time (3 days), we assume the product is satisfactory to you, and may not be returned for a refund. Should a manufacturing defect occur outside of the 3 day period, we shall of course correct the problem or replace the product.

Items returned for a refund must be in unused and in as new condition. Shipping and handling fee cannot be refunded. All merchandise must be authorized by FIN Designs before it is returned. Please e-mail us at design@findesigns.net or call 301-928-1461 for authorization.

Safety Warnings*

Before you order a FIN Designs product please read carefully the following. Our holsters, pouches and knife sheaths are custom made and hand molded for a specific make and model of a weapon or magazine. At no time should your holster/magazine pouch/knife sheath be used with any other make and model than the one it was created for.

Our holsters/knife sheaths are made to fit standard factory equipped guns/knives only. Additions, or any other modifications of the gun’s frame and/or the slide, the knife’s blade and/or handle may render the holster/knife sheath unsafe and increase the risk of an accidental discharge or injury.

After purchasing and before using any FIN Designs product, you should inspect the holster/magazine pouch/knife sheath thoroughly. Using an unloaded firearm, please check the fit and retention of your new holster. Likewise, please check the retention of your new knife sheath. Do not alter or modify FIN Designs products in any way.

It is the user’s responsibility throughout the serviceable life of the holster/magazine pouch/knife sheath to personally check for proper fit and retention. If any FIN Designs product becomes worn, loose, or ill-fitting with age, stop using it immediately.

Safety Tips

Handle all firearms as if they were loaded.

Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.

Keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until your sights are on the target. Do not holster or draw a gun with your finger on the trigger.

Always make sure that your target and surrounding area are safe before firing.

Always use eye and ear protection during live fire.

Apply all basic firearm safety rules for dry firing training and keep ammunition in a separate room not accessible during practice.

For concealed carry, the best retention system is the one where the weapon remains concealed at all times.

We strongly recommend that proper safety training in the handling of firearms/knives be acquired from professional training centers or accredited programs before the use of any firearm/knife related products.

Handguns/knives are inherently dangerous tools, and we will not be responsible for the misuse and mishandling of any of FIN Designs products (or misuse of any weapon in connection with FIN Designs product) nor for any personal injury or damage to you, your weapon or anyone else. Please remember – you are using our products at your own risk. Weapon retention, security and use are your personal responsibilities, and we accept no liability for these areas. FIN Designs has no control over the firearm/knife you use, the ammunition you carry and the manner in which you use the firearm, ammunition, knife or holster/magazine pouch/knife sheath. Therefore, FIN Designs disclaims any and all liability for any damages, personal and/or to property, that may result from the use of any FIN Designs product.

Use Tips and Care

After purchasing and before using any FIN Designs product, you should inspect the holster/magazine pouch/knife sheath thoroughly. Using an unloaded firearm, please check the fit of your new holster. Then adjust the tension screws, to get the desired fit and level of retention. For best results, we recommend adjusting evenly, and in small increments. Similarly, please check the fit of your new knife sheath.

Although Kydex® is a very strong and durable material, and the structure of our products is sufficient for both normal and heavy-duty holster/knife sheath usage, it cannot withstand usage inconsistent with its original purpose.

The fit of our holsters/knife sheaths is naturally tight and you will need to exert a small amount of effort to present the weapon.

For fastening of the leather belt loops on our holsters, FIN Designs uses PULL- THE-DOT® snaps. In order to lock the snap properly, please line up the bottom
part of the socket with the snaps’ stud and snap the upper part of the socket onto the stud. When releasing the snap, please pull at the top part of the button. If the snap is not fastened correctly, it may either get damaged or accidentally unlock. Always remember: the PULL-THE-DOT® snaps must be locked from bottom up and unlocked from top to bottom.

Should your holster/knife sheath require cleaning, just wash it using a mild detergent or soap and let it dry.
